The Backline Demos
In our series ‘The Backline Demos’ we highlight some of the vintage recording equipment that’s available for your sessions at Sugarbird Recordings. In several episodes we demonstrate our vintage backline amps, instruments and recording equipment. We’ll also bring some guests on the show with some exquisite vintage gear as well.
Gear that will be demonstrated is (among others): an Oktava ML16 mic (1968), A Gibson L7 Guitar (1947) with a 1950s Dearmond Pickup, a rare 1960s Suprem Solist amp, a 1960s (Joe Meek) Vortexion mic preamp, an Altec 1567A mic preamp, an Altec 438C compressor/preamp, a Turner 87 ribbon mic (1949), an STC Coles 4035 mic (1961), a Gibson BR6 amp (1951) … and many more!
So if you are wondering how an old Gibson EH-150 amp from 1938 sounds, or how a 1960s Telefunken Echomixer Spring Reverb reacts to vocals in a session … please do subscribe to our website or Youtube channel.
